My Heart Jumps for You "Pop up" Card - Valentine's Day Card

Materials:
Card Stock or Construction Paper – Red, Purple, or Pink
White paper
Heart stickers or heart foamies
Markers
Glue
Scissors

Intstructions: First cut the card stock 4 ¾” wide and 11” long. Then cut the white piece of paper 4 ¼” wide and 10 ½” long. Fold both pieces of paper in the middle along the width. Have the child decorate the front of the card stock with foamies and stickers. Make sure they put the saying, "My Heart Jumps for You!" on the front of the card. Then cut two slits about 1/2" apart from each other in the middle of fold of the white paper. Push in the middle section from the cuts to make it "pop" out. Now glue the white piece of paper to the card stock leaving a 1/4" border all the way around. Finally have your child decorate the inside of the card with the rest of the foamies, stickers, or doodles. Make sure they create a BIG heart to glue to the "pop up" part of the card. Have them sign their name and give it to someone they love.
