The Five Minute Date

I recently read in a book, How to Date your Wife by Stan Cronin, had some good ideas on dating. One of them was the five minute date. Sometimes we think we need to find a babysitter, the time, and the money to go and have a good time with our spouse - not true. In his book Stan Cronin, addresses this issue by intiating the five minute date rule.

Go on a date with my husband? Why?

With the commotion and hubbub of everyday we can easily lose our connection to one and other.  Even when you sit down to dinner every day with or without the kids, it isn’t the same thing as a date. Remember back to when you guys originally dated? There is magic in the air. Everyone treats each other a little better. You are sweeter, nicer, more of a gentleman or woman to each other. You guys had bubbles in your tummy. When you not only start to regularly date your husband but actually call it a date this changes things. It puts expectations on the night.
