Which btw, if you are a thrifty shopper like myself, when an item is on sale I get multiples of it. Then it goes into my banged up bookshelf from good will down in my basement. I keep 2 on hand in my prime real estate area, my upstairs pantry. I have found multiple places to do this.
Let’s talk linen closets. Towels are a large waste of space in there get a towel ladder and free up some prime real estate 2 baskets could replace those towels with cosmetics and hair tools to get those off your counter tops.
In the kitchen, get rid of fancy dishes, serving platters, any dishes that aren't used regularly send them down to the basement. Go get a couple of those wire racks to set all this stuff on.
Bedroom closets will have room for hanging all this seasons clothes with space bags. Also great for summer storage of heavy blankets, throw them right under the bed. Space bags for clothes in your closet to switch out seasonally will give you back you hanging room.
And toys- Keep half down stairs in basement in 1 or two or 3 cheap laundry baskets. Switch out every 3 months it will be like Christmas to your kids. With new things appearing again but they just happen to be fun old favorite toys.
Downsize whatever it is that you have a lot of. Let’s talk about my husband’s tools. Now he won't let me downsize those but what I can do is keep 1 small box under the sink and send the rest to the garage. It’s all about the real estate.
So look through your home one drawer at a time and make sure they are all prime real estate locations for your stuff.
