14 Ways to Show your Spouse you Love them
This is a 14 day love marathon, showing your spouse how much
you love them, doing something special every day for them. Starting the first
day of February and going thru the 14th, Valentine’s Day.
* Cut out 14 red hearts from construction paper or card
stock. Then label one side of each heart with a number 1 – 14. And write the corresponding message with the
action on back side, Pick 14 options below and follow instructions.
1 – Little poem with small treat (dove chocolate) – Roses are red, violets are blue, this
little treat is to say “I love you”.
2 – Love note taped to the horn of the car – Don’t want toot your horn, but I think
your hot leave a box of red hots
on their seat
3 – Love fortune cookies (Emily fortune cookies or your own)
Your fortune says…I see me in your
future or something sexy ,
cookies found at world market. Or at www.
4 – Heart attack the bedroom, bathroom, front door or garage door while they’re asleep or before
they get home from work – have each heart with a different letter that’s spells
out a sweet message. Message: I LOVE
YOU WITHALL MY HEART!
5 – Wrap a special note around their favorite treat and put it
in their lunch or leave it in the fridge if they stay-home with the kids. Being with you is always a treat! Thanks
for always ________! : make sure
to add why they are great!
6 – Make a coupon that says, “You rub me the right way -Good for one back rub” – tape it
to some massage oil or lotion
7 – Do something out of the ordinary – Iron their shirts for
the week, fill their car with gas, wash the dishes, fold the clothes. Do something
for them that you normally do not do. Make sure to leave a heart at the scene
of the crime : Love means not having
to do the dishes tonight (or whatever you did for them)
8 – After the kids go to bed ask your spouse go to the cup board
to grab a surprise in there. In the cupboard have one of the paper heart taped
to a rented movie with popcorn and a licorice saying, “Love is popping everywhere. Time to Lasso it in for a relaxing movie
night”.
9 – I love getting
to know you more and more meet me in the bedroom :Conversation Hearts Quiz– Just to make
conversation have a few questions for
him/her that are about them and hand them a candy heart with each question.
10 – You are so
yummy : Make their favorite dinner or take them out to their favorite
restaurant
11 – When they get home from work hand them some cinnamon
juju lips, give them a kiss, and hand them hershey’s kisses and heart that says: this kiss is for you.
12 –Take me, take
me, take me to your computer : leave on pillow, or pack in lunch
or bag Send them a romantic an e-card to say I love you.
13 – You move me
:Make some of your (your song as a couple or some that represent you as a
couple) favorite songs on CD or put them on your ipod. After dinner or when the
kids are bed turn the lights down low and dance the night away
14 – Arrange for the kids to be at a friend’s or sitter’s
house, prepare a special romantic dinner, and dress up really nice, and put
each heart they have collected over the 14 days on the wall leading to the
bedroom. In the bedroom leave a note saying, “get dressed in something nice and come on down for a nice surprise”.
Then surprise them with the romantic dinner and quiet evening without the
kids.
Option 2 – you take
my heart away : Get a babysitter to come to your house and take your
loved one out for a night on the town, or even out of town for a bed and breakfast!
